Clouds of disappointment were all over me. With the belief that “A new day comes with new opportunities” I went to bed, waiting for the sunrise. The very next day I scrolled through the contact list and tried finding out new leads for location.
Some of my close friends recommended their native village. Taking them along, first, we went to Uran village (outskirts of Mumbai). The location was alluring but unparalleled with our vision. The whole team declined to settle for that place. We had already outstripped the pre-allotted budget as partial lockdown plunged us to travel in private transport.
I am always a constant believer in investing in practical life experience. Rather than spending hard cash for any online internships, I chose to dive into the battlefield of filmmaking. We have witnessed a similar sort of situation in the next location “Karjat”. None of the many neighboring village locations we visited really worked for us.
P.S: How do you manage the demand-budget curve for the location?
