Youtube teaches us every fragment of filmmaking, but very few tell us about the hurdles we encounter while implementing it. I have committed myself to share with you the lessons of my first short film and what transitions I brought while preparing for my next short film.
Log 1: Passion into a profession
March 2019, just after my 12th boards, was the turning point of my life when I decided to follow my passion for filmmaking. Conventional thinking was never a part of my bucket list.
I began to work on my first short film, overcoming the two enormous obstacles, my raw age and the low budget of the film was pretty hard for me. From writing the script to the distribution of my short film, somehow I executed everything single-handedly.
The short film has received warm appreciation from the Youtube community and has won several awards at different film festivals, which I never expected. But with time I realized that script quality was mediocre.
It is clear to me now that whenever I will plan my next film the script will be the topmost priority.
