    The journey starts

Back in class 12th, I observed my classmates scuffling with projects to achieve better marks instead of enjoying it. I rather reciprocated this feeling, which made learning even more exciting. Before starting my bachelor’s degree I decided to write my heart out and bring this to the screen.

We started in the first week of April before the monsoon hit Mumbai. Being a newcomer, the idea was to find the location within budget. Permission denials from various schools and colleges landed me at the place where I did my tuition classes. Getting clearance from its principal, relieved me.

I travelled to crowded lanes in search of props. Priyesh Mehta and Yash Jalandria had been great support that made everything possible. Realizing a low budget, I hired two professional actors Jeet Mathruia & Hetal Sanghavi, and the rest were acted by my friends and teachers. Getting everything in place, it was time to roll.

    Time to Rock the screen!

When you have good company around, the trip becomes hurdle-free. This was possible as I had my awesome colleagues and my friends who accompanied me throughout the shooting. The pressure to make my first short film faded away just because of the enjoyment we had during the process. Everything went as planned and we worked 12 hours.

Our day at shoot started at 6 in the morning. My actors got ready with makeup for the scene. Finally, we started shooting at 9 AM and things went elegantly and pleasurable. Last but not least, were my Assistant Directors (AD) namely Priyesh Mehta (1st AD), Devanshi Doshi (2nd AD), Puran Sanghavi (3rd AD) and Yash Jalandria (4th Ad) who helped in making my dream come true. Hence, big things often have small beginnings.

I wish there type of videos were out during my school days. We use to write song lyrics in our answer sheet during our exams cause teacher's always wanted long answers so that they don't have to read them.

Very controversial film. On the one side, teachers are not always Right and flawless. To some extant this student told the truth. Copying the house is not creativity and teachers should read their projects carefully

    Time to Rock the screen!

Finally, I had to use my fingers to create magic. Since the budget was low, I made use of royalty-free music and sound effects. The film was edited on Final Cut Pro X. This film not only voiced my thoughts but also helped me grow. As an editor, it alleviated my learning and made my dream possible. It was completed in a week and it was ready to set fire.

It was screened before my friends, cast, crew, and earned applause throughout. The reaction was so overwhelming, this kicked my morale way up. I realized when you focus and put your endeavors, victory is deemed to happen. Mission finally accomplished!

    Film Festivals

    Appreciation unlocks bliss!

Doing everything from the scratch whole-heartedly, my hard work paid off well. Amassing remarkable responses, my movie was sent to various film festivals. It bagged the “Best Young Filmmaker” award at Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (CICFF) and Virgin Spring Cinefest in July 2019. The movie went for the Final Round in May 2020 as a Finalist in Lisbon Film Rendezvous. It got nominated at First-Time Filmmaker Sessions and earned a Semi-Finalist position at LIFFT India Filmotsav, World Cine Fest, Lonavala.

Getting my film distributed at Six Sigma Films and receiving 25k Views in 2 weeks added excitement to my zeal.
Nothing in this world is possible, without a dedicated focus, relentless effort, and a good supportive environment. Without these three factors, the film couldn’t have been possible, hence “All’s Well That Ends Well!”
