The lockdown was an eminent period for me as I balanced my hard work between the script and my freelance projects. Finally, by October 2020, the script was fully ready and we were into our pre-production stage with a tight budget.
One of the prominent snags of my journey was to figure out the location. I tried seeking a perfect location virtually during the lockdown but couldn’t succeed in it. Research for a perfect location made me culminate to a point that our film industry is very much segregated. People who are not directly associated with the industry will find it a predicament to enjoy any of their services.
I decided to roam across Mumbai to explore the best possible location for the short film. The only place which looked flawless for our short film was the abandoned buildings of the Parsi community. The remaining explored venues couldn’t have justified our needs.
P.S: Is finalizing the location the most difficult task for you in the entire process?
